Plant Service Building at 1501 South Oak Street Champaign, IL 61820.
Another

Password: 1867 or an in-person pre-bid conference in Room 127 at the Physical Plant
Service Building at 1501 South Oak Street Champaign, IL 61820. Representatives of the
Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions
regarding the project and bidding procedures.
All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to
attend and must only go to one of the meetings. Mandatory onsite walk throughs of the
project site will follow immediately after the pre-bid meetings for interested bidders. Walk
throughs should be made on these dates; additional requests for project site access may
not be granted.. Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant
will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All
prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend.

Description
This project replaces the existing air handling units AHU 12 and AHU 13 with a single
larger unit on the ground floor. The AHU replacement requires demolition, relocation, and
modifications to existing walls, doors, windows, floors, and ceilings to accommodate the
new unit. This project will also provide service to Rooms 337 and 338 through the new air
handler. New ductwork, VAVs, and controls are included in this project. This project also
includes updates to the existing fire alarm system to provide full fire alarm coverage
throughout Davenport Hall.
Refer to Division 01 of the technical specifications for a complete, detailed breakdown of
the base bids and alternates for this project.
This project includes a Project Labor Agreement that will be executed between the lowest
responsible/responsive bidder and the East Central Illinois Building and Construction
Trades Council. A copy of the Project Labor Agreement is included at the end of Section
00 90 00.
